November & December Challenge: Spread the Love
November and December are best known for holidays, stress, friends, family…and eating. This year, your challenge is to spread the good word of clean eating, exercising, controlling stress and most important, taking care of you.The biggest challenges to your success often come from the people closest to you. Especially this time of year. For example…
- As your grandmother serves you your favorite dessert, “I made this just for you!”
- As you drag yourself out of bed in the dark wee hours of the morning, “don’t go for a run, its cold out there.”
- As you frantically take care of errands, “but there’s so much to do, let’s just eat out on the way.”
SaboteursOur loved ones don’t do this on purpose; it’s just the way life goes. They need to know what you are trying to accomplish so that they can help you meet your goals. Tell them. Spread the Love.Demonstrate and communicate what you need to do to take care of yourself. Be a good role model. Show your family and friends how you prioritize grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking. Get your buddies out there to walk, run, hike and ride bikes. Ask someone to go to yoga with you.Stay With Me People! The other important reason to Spread the Love is that you want all your friends and family members surrounding you as you live a long and vibrant life. Get them on board. Cook them delicious and healthy meals. Introduce them to new foods and flavors. Buy them gifts that help them get interested in exercise and help them stay active. This month will be all about Spreading the Love with cooking, sharing and gifting the invaluable gifts of good health.And….drum roll please…I am writing a cookbook!
