Redefine Your Beauty
We often talk about the concept of a healthy body, mind and spirit but what is the true meaning behind that? What does a healthy mind look like or more so… feel like? Achieving a healthy mind starts by implementing self-care into our lives daily. Some of us may practice a form of self-care already, such as taking a bubble bath or reading an enjoyable book with a cup of tea. These acts of self-care help to nourish our mind, however some self-care practices encourage us to go a little deeper. Self-love is another concept of self-care, which is defined as the “regard for one's own well-being and happiness.” Learning to love yourself for who you are is one of the most important steps toward a healthy mind. Many of us, myself included, struggle with this concept of self-love. This is understandable as we were raised in a society with a declared definition of beauty. It can be challenging to love one’s self when the world is telling us we don’t meet the criteria to be considered beautiful. So, what do we do? Try to change ourselves to be more like that defined version of beauty? I’d like to argue against that. Rather than changing ourselves we must create our own definition of beauty that rings true to us.The class this month will be one of many to come focusing on self-care. Perhaps this is the first time you have heard of the concept, and that’s ok. Nourishing Results provides a safe place to begin this journey. Each attendee will leave feeling more beautiful than ever and equipped with strategies to continue that sensation long after the class ends. Please join us for an hour dedicated to you.
