Let's Celebrate the Harvest
Fall is one of my favorite times of year, however in Tucson it seems to slip right past before we have time to celebrate it. Autumn often brings to mind the season of harvesting. My grandfather was a spectacular gardener in a place with less than spectacular soil. Each season the gourds from his garden would grow larger and larger. As children my sister and I loved using the dried gourds as music shakers. I think we may have enjoyed the music more than the taste of the squash itself.Since that time I have discovered many delicious ways to prepare these interesting fall vegetables. Please join me for a class where we will discuss ways to create quick and tasteful meals with fresh fall produce. Leave inspired with a few new recipes to incorporate into your seasonal menu. What better way to celebrate the harvest!
Hope to see you there!
